Blutui CEO Graeme Blake announce he's currently at Cannes Lions, promoting his agency which offers profitable solutions for agency's digital work
With Cannes in full swing and advertising agencies celebrating their well earned Lions with gallons of blush pink Rosé the morning after brings with it the sobering news out of New Zealand that FCB have axed 10% of their head count in Auckland. It’s a solemn reminder that times in adland can be brutal.
Blutui CEO Graeme Blake, currently at Cannes Lions to promote his creative agency digital platform to global agencies, knows one solution for agencies where profitability can be found in the way they approach their digital work.
A Kiwi adman himself, Blake has spearheaded development of the Blutui web app over the past two years and says “We’ve built Blutui to suit digital agency requirements and workflow. Our team have designed the platform to provide complete creative freedom, management oversight, technology unification and a level of agency brand stickiness with collaborators and clients that’s never been seen before”.
Born out of a digital agency environment Blake is finding the ‘by agency for agency’ development strategy a winner in Cannes. “Coming to Cannes was a big move for Blutui but it’s certainly paying dividends with independent agencies, global agencies and even big multi-brand clients signing on”.
“The issues Blutui solves are numerous for agencies but the main point we are making is that agencies have had to put up with using mainstream apps designed for general or DIY use or else build every project from the ground up which is incredibly inefficient” says Blake, “until now no one has focused a CMS platform on the very real needs of creative agencies and Blutui sits in that sweet spot perfectly”.
Blutui delivers efficiencies and control to agencies enabling far better margins and a platform exclusively geared toward servicing the advertising industry.
With just two days to go before Cannes wraps up another year of celebrating creativity Graeme and product manager Charlie Cooper have connected with virtually every global agency and while they don’t take home any Lions they’ve bagged enough elephants to make the 27 hour trip from New Zealand worthwhile.
