Ana and Hermeti Balarin Ask Students and Young Creatives to Hijack Their Stage

If you could ask UK creative leaders any question, what would you ask? Mother London invite future creatives to open the floor at Creative Circle 2019

Ana and Hermeti Balarin Ask Students and Young Creatives to Hijack Their Stage

What goes around comes around - kill your masters. OK, not quite. But this may be the one opportunity in the history of UK advertising for young creatives to upstage the UK’s creative leadership. Today, Creative Circle presidents, Ana and Hermeti Balarin, invite the future leaders of the creative industry to deliver the Creative Circle’s opening speech. So, embrace your inner Dave Benson-Phillips and GYOB on your elders by immersing them in some serious inspirational gunge.

Traditionally, the Creative Circle opens with a speech by the Jury presidents, but this year Ana and Hermeti are employing their ‘What Goes Around, Comes Around’ manifesto to the very beginning of the show. They are inviting students and young creatives to submit 30 words they’d like to tell the UK’s creative leaders. Literally anything.

'Crash The Stage' - Creative Circle Awards 2019

Their 2019 manifesto, released earlier this year, challenges individuals in the creative industry to look back to when they started – when they leaned on whoever they could for help; when they wedged their foot in the door for an opening; when every brief (and every leftover meeting sandwich) mattered to them. The Creative Circle and its presidents believe it’s time for those in leadership positions now, to collectively support the next generation.

Mother ECDs and Creative Circle presidents, Ana and Hermeti Balarin comment: “This is your chance to speak to the whole industry. Don’t mince your words. We badly need them.”

Managing director of Creative Circle, Jeremy Green, comments: “The industry is continually welcoming the next generation of creatives, they are the future of our business and their voices need to be heard. We’ve always welcomed fresh blood at the Creative Circle Ball and students are always in our audience, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them open the show.”

If you are a student looking to work in the creative industries or a young creative, send your contributions in 30 words or less to crashthestage@motherlondon.com by May 1st 2019. This year is set to be Creative Circle’s biggest celebration of UK creatives. All profits from the event will go to support the Creative Circle Foundation Charity, which helps to address the lack of diversity found within the UK Creative Departments.

The event is open to all with a range of ticketing options. Tickets for the event are now on sale. To reserve please book online at here.
