Cummins&Partners Appoints Media Specialist Lisa Mier as Group Connections Director
In a great win for the agency, a shining light of the media industry, Lisa Mier, has joined Cummins&Partners to lead the Jenny Craig account.
Mier (centre), whom most recently led the Myer account at Ikon, has joined the agency in the role of group connections director, after a string of new business wins. Her career has spanned over 20 years in Melbourne with experience leading major accounts such as Austereo and Officeworks in previous client leadership roles at OMD and Initiative.
Says Mier: “I am excited to return to a full service agency model, particularly with the dynamic team at Cummins&Partners. Added to that, to be leading the newly acquired Jenny Craig account is a win for me also as the health category is something I’m passionate about. I look forward to making an immediate impact here and across the agency as we continue our growth trajectory. The independent agency space is a hotbed of innovation in the industry and the place I want to influence over the next phase of my career. The ability to bring channel and creative thinking together delivers speed and agility, that when coupled with the flexibility and transparency of an independent is a truly potent recipe for clients.”
Says Paul Murphy, head of media, Cummins&Partners: “Recent business growth has created a fantastic opportunity to bring in class leading talent. Having worked together in previous roles Lisa was at the top of the list when we went to market to find senior leadership. Lisa is analytically minded, brings strong market relationships and has a passion for fostering and growing talent. We are very proud to welcome her to our team.”
Says Chris Jeffares, CEO of Cummins&Partners: “Media has been a massive part of our unique creative:media agency model since we launched 8 years ago. We have continued to invest heavily in talent, technology and tools – and it has really paid off. Having key leadership in place with the addition of Lisa to the team sets us up to not only grow further, but deliver further improvement to our rapidly expanding client base. With a new generation of media execs joining the agency, strong and experienced leadership is pivotal in creating our culture of excellence.”
Along with Mier, the Cummins&Partners media team have added two additional hires. Amelia Choy (above left) and Callum Was (above right) have also joined the media team, as a sign of the head count increasing significantly over the next 12 months.
