FAMILIA Signs Director Sheena Brobbey
FAMILIA has announced the signing of London-based director Sheena Brobbey to join their UK, US and Netherlands roster. The Ghanian-British filmmaker began her career in advertising as an art director for the likes of Conde Nast, YouTube and Estee Lauder before finding herself gravitating towards the director’s chair.
Describing herself as a visual artist first and a narrative director second, her work pays attention to individual stories, bringing warm and imaginative energy into the world of commercial campaigns, branded content, music videos and beyond.
The core of Sheena’s work lies in fashion and beauty with youth culture sensibilities, but it’s her passion for addressing urgent themes like racial bias within healthcare to stories of resilience of the black diasporas of WestLondon’s Caribbean communities that truly shows her storytelling at its best.
