Havertys Hires EP+Co as Agency of Record

EP+Co will develop integrated marketing and evolution

Havertys Hires EP+Co as Agency of Record

EP+Co, along with its media partner Trilia, today announced it has been named creative and media agency of record for furniture retailer, Havertys. The pitch was handled by Hasan + Shumaker Consulting.

EP+Co will collaborate with Havertys to develop an integrated marketing strategy and help drive evolution of its current brand positioning. The primary scope, which will officially begin in February, includes media, creative and digital planning efforts.

“We are truly thrilled! The entire team went all in on this one, because this is a brand we all know. We’ve found ourselves in this really unique spot, where we’re working with these amazing heritage brands, who are just ready for their next evolution. Nothing is broken, they are just ready to UnThink things,” said Con Williamson, president and chief creative officer at EP+Co. “We feel extremely lucky to be able to play a part in this next big step forward for Havertys. Plus, the entire brand team turned out to just be really good people. So this is definitely a win-win.”

“Every step of the way, EP+Co showed a genuine enthusiasm for this opportunity and for our business. We were in awe of the amount of research, planning and work they did in such a short time – but more importantly, how they strategically tied it all together to consider the furniture shopping journey in its entirety,” said Helen Bautista, vice president of marketing at Havertys. “We weren’t just looking for an ad agency but for a true partner, and that’s what we’ve found.”
