Bruno Oppido joins INNOCEAN Berlin from Wieden+Kennedy in São Paulo, where he was the creative director and head of art. A 35-year-old Brazilian, Bruno will join Ricardo Wolff and Gabriel Mattar in the creative leadership of the agency as executive creative director and head of art. Bruno has built an impressive career developing campaigns for brands such as Nike, Old Spice and Leica. With over 32 Cannes Lions including a film Grand Prix, his work has been highly lauded around the globe.
Gabriel Mattar, INNOCEAN Worldwide Europe chief creative officer, says: "Bruno has the ability to make visually impactful ideas look simple. Our agency is focused on challenger brands; therefore, such an ability is crucial to maximise our client’s exposure.”
During his time at W+K, Bruno helped the São Paulo branch become the third most awarded independent agency in the world in just three years. His plans for INNOCEAN are no less ambitious.
“I can easily say that working with Ricardo and Gabriel is an old professional wish of mine. Besides respecting them as people, they have an impressive creative vision within our industry. I'm very happy to join the agency in times of exciting change and momentum. I'm pretty sure we'll develop memorable work, elevating the craft day by day. Judging by the quality and motivation of the people on the floor, I’m confident we will transform INNOCEAN Berlin into a Global Creative Powerhouse.” - Bruno Oppido.
Scott Choi, INNOCEAN Worldwide Europe president and CEO, added: "It was Bruno's consistent creative work for big international brands that caught our attention. He has developed brands over time. These kinds of long-lasting relationships are what transform our clients’ businesses and is our drive at INNOCEAN. I'm truly honoured to have someone of this calibre joining our team."
