Kids Teach Their Parents in Heart-Warming Campaign for PBS KIDS

RPA launches integrated 'You Taught Me' campaign shot by director Rafaela Carvalho

Kids Teach Their Parents in Heart-Warming Campaign for PBS KIDS

RPA worked with PBS KIDS on a new integrated campaign, 'You Taught Me', to celebrate how much we teach our kids but also how much we learn from them. Things like slowing down, finding joy in everyday moments and the fun of making up the words to silly songs. The campaign includes a TV spot, print ads, social videos, GIFs and digital banners. This is the agency’s first project for PBS KIDS and included some pro bono work.

Director Rafaela Carvalho shot the spot, capturing real families from across the US in a mix of tender, funny and joyful moments. Shot in mid-October, RPA worked with production company Jojx to use an array of cinematographers and their real families as the talent in the spot. Camera feeds via Zoom and QTAKE were used in the families’ houses, backyards and neighborhoods for the moments that became 'You Taught Me'.

The media is running on PBS KIDS and member stations, and PBS KIDS social and websites, and began running in April.
