Now Lightning Bolt Surf USA has chosen Together w/ as agency of record for its relaunch in the United States. The account will be managed by Doug Livingston, partner at Together w/ and based in the New York office. “Lightning Bolt is a cult brand that symbolises energy, adventure and freedom”, states Doug. “We are very excited to reintroduce this authentic and truly American brand to a new generation of surfers”.

Founded in 1971 by Gerry López and Jack Shipley, Lightning Bolt put its historic thunderbolt at the feet of every professional surfer who came to Hawaii for the iconic waves and laid back life. The brand spread quickly around the world to California, Australia, Europe and South America. In addition to the iconic boards, López knew how to turn surfing into a lifestyle, launching his clothing line to not only surf the waves but wear in the streets. Fifty years later, Lightning Bolt continues to inspire new generations of surfers, who found a true lifestyle in this sport.
With this new assignment Together w/ continues the expansion of its business in the US market, working collaboratively with its clients to drive top line revenue, add value to their brands and realise efficiencies by leveraging a remote workforce.
