Papaya Films Moves Into New London Office

Papaya Films Moves Into New London Office

Moving can be a stressful process, but when the location is so perfect everything falls into place and the stress turns into excitement and new possibilities.

Papaya Films have found that perfect location in the centre of London after a year of working from home because of the pandemic, and now the team can finally start to get back to normality in a new creative environment.

“We all struggled to keep the spirit of togetherness through the pandemic and especially the periods of lock down. So after over a year of being separated, we decided that we really need a place that we can call our own. We wanted a space that people want to come to. We found a former library that seemed to tick all the boxes," said Wojtek Skiba, Papaya London’s EP.

The bustling surroundings of Shoreditch make way for the former library which is laden with plants and greenery for everybody to feel relaxed. The screening area will host short film nights, work reviews and events that will build on Papaya’s culture cultivating young directors with their annual Papaya Young Creators competition and Papaya Rocks Film Festival. A separate meeting area, single desks and group working area with a lot of space so that social distancing can be observed make it a welcoming and safe environment for staff and guests. Great coffee, of course, is on tap and it all adds to the cosy atmosphere and convenient location.

The big Idea: “We wanted to stay in Shoreditch and be close to the hustle and bustle of the big city. The brief for the designers was simple: The space needs to feel consistent with the design of our other offices with a touch of London vibe. And we wanted to be able to call it ‘Papaya Clubhouse’. We absolutely love how the interior designers made an open space feel cosy and how it is divided into areas with different functionalities but still keep a kind of uniformity throughout the whole office. In our new home everyone is welcome!” says Wojtek Skiba, EP of Papaya Films London.

The new location is a match made in heaven for Papaya Films who are known for promoting and celebrating creative talent with Papaya Rocks and PYC, so it only makes sense to move somewhere that captures the creative culture of the company.
