Rare Species Record Label Releases Reimagined Oasis Classic 'Live Forever'
Native's record label Rare Species has release the full length version of the re-imagined Oasis classic 'Live Forever' today. It is available on all download and streaming platforms.
Fred Ashworth, arranger of the new version commented: "It's been really exciting working with such a well known classic and finding a new way to present it. You want to treat it carefully but at the same time totally re-approach it."
Initially created to soundtrack the AELTC's own trailer for Wimbledon 2019, made by McCann London - the agency and brand were interested in releasing a full length version.
Dan Neale, MD of Native says: "The campaign has been a wonderful opportunity to create an epic soundtrack, using Noel Gallagher's incredible composition. We thought of the idea to use the song, as the main lyrical refrain fitted with the idea of stories enduring, and continuing to be made, through the ages"
Native set Rare Species up 3 years ago and it exists to release tracks that tie in with TV, film or advertising projects they have been involved in. Last year they released "Take On History" by Dave Connolly, a track that also started its life as the score for a Wimbledon trailer.
