R/GA Elevates Julie Andrews to Managing Director of Portland Office
R/GA today announced that it has elevated Julie Andrews to lead its Portland office as VP, managing director, and will report to EVP, managing director, U.S. David Corns. Previously, Andrews led and helped operationalise the production team at R/GA California, an integration of both R/GA’s Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.
As the head of R/GA Portland, Andrews joins a 50+ person staff. Now in its eighth year, R/GA Portland was originally built for Nike, a twenty-year R/GA client. The office continues to grow its Nike relationship while helping other clients navigate consumer and B2B experiences through content, DTC MarComm, membership and loyalty, and product and services experiences.
“Julie has been an instrumental leader at R/GA for several years. First as Executive Production Director of San Francisco, then leading operations for our California offices. Julie built new models and approaches to allow R/GA California to manage its significant growth and new business wins, led multiple client engagements, and helped shape the culture and thinking” said David Corns, EVP, Managing Director, U.S. at R/GA.
Corns added: “Julie is one of the smartest, most thoughtful, holistic, and collaborative leaders I’ve ever worked with. She’s amazing.”
“The talent in the Portland office is absolutely phenomenal. For a city that was especially hit hard last year by civil unrest and protests during the pandemic, the team put out work that has so much heart and soul that I’m encouraged and inspired. I plan to relocate with my family in September,” Julie Andrews said.
In addition to her leadership roles at the company, Andrews also co-founded and chairs the Black Leadership Coalition for R/GA, and is an active voice helping to ensure R/GA delivers on its mission to build a more human future.
