Uber's Charming Animations Spread Some Community Spirit
19 Sound's most recent work, completed during Lockdown, was a collaboration with ACNE London for Uber.
A series of three delightful animated films, tell us about Uber’s community & safety guidelines across their car and bicycle (Jump) services.
The animations have a natural, and relaxed feel to them.
With that in mind, Jack and Will decided that composing a piece of music with a ‘handmade’ feel to it, was the ideal approach.
They used a simple acoustic guitar sequence as the basis, and then, after exploring various options, landed on a rhythmic part that used small samples of taping on the side of the guitar.
Will then created the sound design to build on this feeling: bird song, light winds, a touch of background traffic etc.
Nothing too overbearing, just enough to carry the overall message across.
Once all the elements combined, they created a friendly and delightful soundscape for this campaign, that captures the joy of travelling using Uber’s car or bicycle services, and shows us Uber’s commitment to our safety and comfort.
