Warfair helps farmers in UN-listed war zones export their goods. Empowering local business, providing jobs and education for people living under war. They have several initiatives and farms in Afghanistan, Congo, Yemen etc.
As the month of ramadan was closing in, we decided to find a social initiative, we could help reaching a new audience. Sadaqa is the fifth pillar in Islam, and means you must give charity. We designed an inclusive campaign introducing Warfair, the work they do and the effect it has, and how it helps women to have work, and kids opportunity to go to school.
We activated influencers, had them share their experience with the products sent to them. And the content is just different, when a influencer becomes emotional about a raisin, because it reminds them of their roots, their culture and heritage.
During ramadan, Mothers Day occured. For a whole week up until Mothers Day, we celebrated and told the stories of some of the women working in the farms. That week was responsible for 40 % of the sales during the whole month.
Warfair had a new sales record in the month of ramadan. It was 106 % higher then any previous sale over 30 days. Also their instagram, received more then twice a many new followers.
